Despite the many ways to bet on the Super Bowl, most bettors head to prop bets. Several are fairly run of the mill props, whether it be Super Bowl player props, halftime show props, or prop bets for the National Anthem. Those are all fun ways to profit from the big game, but you can also make money off of some weird Super Bowl props. Super Bowl LV - Halftime Show - Will a football be used as a prop? One of the best Super Bowl 55 prop bets you can target immediately is which song will be sung by The Weeknd first. The famous singer is headlining the 2021 Super Bowl halftime show, and this is probably the best halftime show prop to bet on. Of course, there are several Super Bowl 55 halftime show prop bets that could be worth your time. Yes, you can make plenty of Super Bowl halftime prop bets. The Super Bowl halftime show just so happens to be one of the biggest entertainment gigs in the world. The high-profile spectacle features headlining superstar performances, with eclectic musical genres, bright lights, crazy costumes and even uncensored nudity on the rare occasion.
The main allure to the Super Bowl to me is the plethora of betting options available. Whatever you can think of regarding the game, and the events surrounding it, there is probably a bet you can make on it. This is unique to the Super Bowl, so it’s a once a year opportunity to bet on some of the wackiest things you’re going to see at a sportsbook.
Halftime show betting has become one of the most popular props on the Super Bowl outside of the game. If you don’t know who The Weeknd is, it’s okay, that’s not required to make money off the halftime show. The Weeknd is your Super Bowl LV halftime entertainer in 2021. Despite only 22,000 fans allowed into Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, the NFL is going through with their halftime plans.
While it may not be a packed crowd for The Weeknd, he’s going to get exposure from millions of people watching on TV from around the world. That’s the whole point of taking on the halftime show as a performer. This isn’t a paid gig, so it’s all about exposure to the biggest audience in the world. In other words, it’s a fancy advertisement for The Weeknd without pay.
If you don’t know who he is, he’s one of those performers that you might know when you hear one of his songs. He may not be as popular as Drake, but they’re both from Toronto and have some hit songs. The Weeknd will undoubtedly bring a friend or two on stage to join him. Now, if you can figure out who is going to join him during his performance at halftime, then you can make a lot of money on this. BetOnline currently has six halftime props for the halftime show. More will be added leading up to the Super Bowl.
I treat these Super Bowl prop bets as more fun wagers than anything else. Unless you have the inside loop, then it probably isn’t worth digging deep into the bankroll. Speaking of the inside loop, you’ll find low limits on some of these bets for that reason. The potential of a leak and high limits could wreck a sportsbook. Doja Cat Appear w/ The Weeknd During Halftime Show
The Weeknd has collaborated with some prominent performers over the years. Now, I’m not overly familiar with Doja Cat, but aware that The Weeknd has a well-known song with her. Doja Cat appears in the remix for In Your Eyes. The Weeknd also has a song with Ariana Grande. She is a much bigger name than Doja Cat, but Ariana likely isn’t going to play second fiddle in the halftime show. If she was going to appear as the halftime act, then I believe she’d want to be front and center and not perform in the shadow of The Weeknd. That also goes for Drake.
Yes, you can bet on whether Ariana and Drake will appear in the Super Bowl LV Halftime Show. However, there’s no value on No, and I don’t see Yes coming through. Doja Cat for In Your Eyes, though? It seems like there is a chance of it happening. I’m confident that the NFL will want a female performer to have a minute at halftime. Doja Cat likely wouldn’t pass up the opportunity for some face time with millions watching around the world. Note that In Your Eyes was released in October. It’s a new song that The Weeknd will probably want to push. At +500, Doja Cat appearing at halftime seems like solid value. And here’s a pretty big clue: The Weeknd and Doja Cat share the same manager.
Kenny G Appear w/ The Weeknd During Halftime Show
There are two versions of In Your Eyes by The Weeknd. Doja Cat is featured in one, while Kenny G is feathered in another. However, his soprano saxophone appears in the Doja Cat version as well, so it isn’t like they couldn’t perform together. They are just marketed differently for monetary reasons, with one song The Weeknd feat. Doja Cat and another The Weeknd feat. Kenny G.
If the halftime show producers wanted to put Doja Cat and Kenny G together on the stage at the same time for In Your Eyes, then that’s more than doable. However, if only one of them appears during halftime, then we’re still going to make out with a profit. We’re getting a nice price on both bets that only one is needed for a big payday. It feels like Kenny G is worth a look at +500, too.
The Weeknd First Song Performed at Halftime
What Is Being Said About The Super Bowl Halftime Show
This is a pretty simple halftime prop. Which song will The Weeknd perform first out of the gate during the Super Bowl LV Halftime Show? Blinding Lights has been his most popular song over the last year. Not only has it been one of his most popular songs, but overall out of any artist in 2020. Blinding Lights is currently No. 1 on the US iTunes sales chart. It just seems too easy for The Weeknd to open with Blinding Lights. While it’s a big song at the moment, I think one of his other standout songs is more popular over the course of his career.
Super Bowl Halftime Show Prop Bets
Starboy is a song that might ring a bell with more people than Blinding Lights. It’s one of those songs that might make more people think, oh okay, I know this guy. I could see The Weeknd saving Blinding Lights for a little later in his performance. I’m going with The Weeknd starting slow, which Starboy is compared to Blinding Lights, and then picking the tempo up from there. Don’t expect him to go through the whole song, but likely long enough of an opener with Starboy to cash to get the Super Bowl LV Halftime Show started.
